Michael D’Occhio, Professor of Food Security within the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences’ Global Change Institute, University of Queensland comments on the role of Australia’s northern beef industry in the future of global food.
Prof. D’Occhio kicks off his report by stating that, "Australia’s more extensive northern beef industry is in a position to benefit and indeed prosper from current and emerging global trends in both the demand for food and food production systems."
He then lists his four certainties about future global food:
