Continuing on from its international success at the San Francisco Spirits Competition and World Drinks Awards, Bundaberg Rum is bringing home yet another international accolade to add to its growing collection. This time, Drinks International has named the Queensland based Bundaberg Rum Distillery Visitor Experience the winner of World’s Best Educational Experience and World’s Best Retail Experience.
The Drinks International Distillery Challenge Awards, which aims to recognise innovation and excellence amongst distilleries and associated businesses, commended the distillery for its impressive new retail operation and commitment to customer education following a recent $8.5 million upgrade.
Duncan Littler, Senior Brand Manager at Bundaberg Rum, said: “The Bundaberg Rum Distillery is a unique, authentically Australian icon unlike any other. There is more to the distillery than just producing award winning rum. The team here have worked tirelessly to provide unforgettable and one of a kind distillery experience and it’s great to see that their work is being recognised on a global scale.”
The Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience is a unique and immersive tour designed to share the distillery’s 128 year history with visitors. The Visitor Experience offers two tour experiences in addition to the famous Distillery tour – The Bundaberg Rum Museum Experience and a Blend Your Own Rum Experience. There is also an expanded retail experience and bar area where visitors can purchase exclusive and limited edition products only available from the distillery.
