As the world’s population, now over several billion, continues to climb, the built environments we live in and more importantly, the designs for these environments, will need to evolve dramatically to answer the flailing housing equation while continuing to address the demand for ever increasing eco savvy construction solutions.
We found this story that investigates how designers and architects are turning more and more to the structures that exist in nature for inspiration and furthermore, how they co-exist within their extended ecosystems. In essence, how can we design and build structures that work with their surroundings, not against it.
